Clutch and flywheel setups

Guys and girls

My engines coming out for the fitment of DC sports exhaust manifolds and while its out im going to fit a neew clutch and flywheel. Think im pretty much settled on a driftworks superfly flywheel and exedy stage 1 organic from alex. However ive been reading that its a good idea to replace the clucth fork and pivot ball for upgraded stronger items to take the force of the uprated clutch. Reading on websites it seems the 04+ Zs have steel ones anyway so was wondering if anyone had changed them on theirs and what flywheel and clutch setup your are running?

Whilst the box is out I want to make sure its done to the best it can be

My best selling combination for the 350Z VQ35DE is the Exedy clutch kit with the uprated clutch release bearing and the Competition Clutch ultra lighweight single mass flywheel.

I have found that this combination gives you maximum throttle response with minimum "chatter"

I also recommend that you swop out the ball pin and pilot bushing when the box is out.

All the above are in stock at the moment including oem and upgraded ball pins as well as the pilot bushings.

Just drop me a PM if I can help further.

Alex. :)

I've got an exedy organic and a driftworks superfly. Highly reccomend both, I didn't uprate anything else and I've had no issues, even with spirited driving

Any "chatter" with this combination?

Copied from a private conversation with Arran

there's a bit of noise from the fly in stop start traffic but nothing too bad. I've found with parking I've occasionally had a bit more of a whine from the fly too and once or twice it's smelled a bit, but that's only been when I've been going into really tight spaces so have been on and off the clutch a lot. Otherwise it's great :)
