Hi all

 

Apologies for the probable newbie question (and quite obvious answer) but I'm currently searching for my first Z. I'm on a really tight budget but also not in a hurry to buy. Anyway I've seen this:

Not that I'm particularly interested in buying but it states it's GT. It has cruise control etc but cloth seats?

 

One other question, I've also seen an import, looks really good, low mileage full UK service history etc but no import papers. My immediate reaction is to just leave it but wondered what you all thought.

Re the first one - I would suggest you Google the name of the dealer for any reviews that might be on there.

Stick with your initial reaction. Keighley Sports and Performance rang alarm bells, so did a quick Google search.

I thought all UK GTs had cruise as well..This one has no cruise shown on the steering wheel, and no Rays

 

I know Rays were an extra but most have them. My bet is its not a GT..!!

And yeah, Will's right, this car hasn't got cruise. (Look for 3 buttons on the right hand silver part of the steering wheel).

Thanks guys, I was very dubious anyway but always best to check. Like I say, I'm not rushing out to buy anything. I've got an MK2 MX5 so know how crucial research can be!

nope, thats not a GT. a UK GT Car has RAYS wheels, BOSE Stereo, cruise control and heated leather seats. This car has none of them!

Yep - it's still a buyers market and there are plenty out there if you are prepared to travel.

If you're on a tight budget I'd carefully consider running and repair costs. Cars are getting cheaper, the repairs aren't.

Up to a certain year, then all GTs came with them. Can't remember the year, either '06 facelift or '07 HRs if I remember correctly.
