Hi Richard,

I have a brand new plate holder in it's Nissan packaging that's never been opened if you were still searching!

Had a new front bumper recently on an insurance repair but asked the bodyshop not to fit the new mount and have gone for tighter appearance.

I also have one you can have cheap..

I must say, I've secured my number plates with double sided tape and have never had a problem.. After years it may come lose at the edge, as the bumper isn't flat, so there is more force pulling it away at the sides, but you can easily notice this and restick it, it'll never just fall off.

Mine was always attached to the plinth by double sided tape and neve had a problem. If you buy cheap stuff, it may wear out quick, but spend another £1 and buy 3M and it'll last longer than you'll have the car.

Thanks for the advice KyleR. I've sort of got used to the plate stuck on with no problems yet. Having said that I quite like the original holder and might still buy one if it wasn't too dear.

Regards RIchard

PS What part of Northern Ireland are you from?

Miles from you lol I'm in Portadown.

Once you get a bracket and fit it, 3 months later you'll want to remove it again.

Buy one of the vinyl plates online and try that first, it'll certainly be a bit if an improvement on a regular plate.
