Arran Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 How have these not gone yet! The best decats for a Z. Period.
TomLum Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 How have these not gone yet! The best decats for a Z. Period. Im in the market for some decats just to make my stock system a little more vocal. Why are these better than others? I notice they have a unique shape. Thanks for any advice, Tom
Arran Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 They are called helmholtz resonators they scavenge the air in a way that's alot more efficient than other designs they use it at nasa. They will add a nice tone to the stock exhaust and get rid of the most restricted part of the system the cats new these are around the 500 mark so a bargain go on motordynes website it explains it perfectly
lewdogga Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Will these fit on my stock system without any modifying or altering? If so im interested
Arran Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Yes, motordyne is pretty much the best quality you are going to get so fit without issue
Adrian@TORQEN Posted September 11, 2013 Author Posted September 11, 2013 What engine do you have, DE or HR? It will only fit DE versions.
lewdogga Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Yeah i have a DE. With the big pipes cut off would it throw a error code?, I take it that's what they were for. Thanks
lewdogga Posted September 11, 2013 Posted September 11, 2013 Oh ok that's good. I take it yours has been uprev'd though? Does that get rid of them 1
Adrian@TORQEN Posted September 11, 2013 Author Posted September 11, 2013 You can disable the O2 sensors with the UpRev, yes.
