spraying centre console

Looking at spraying my centre console, but only thing im unsure about is if it will crack.

 

The centre console when removed is quite flexible. And trying to fix it back into place with the stereo wobbling it around, will it crack the paint?

It shouldn't crack, but if you want to be safe then use plastic primer as this (I find) is a bit more flexible

Ill go halfrauds and get some paint. It was meant to be green originally... but I feel like im copyimg that old man

Be wary bright colours will reflect in the windscreen quite alot

Buster did mine in plasticoat - no cracks but like rodgeevans says it does refect on the windscreen in the sunlight!

Hmm. Ive recognised the console showing on windscreen when its dark. If it was black, would it still show up as much as green? Atm the matt black is fine for driving, just dont want my green being a blind spot

 

Keyser, does it effect you much at night

Yeah even my RSW reflected a lot at the top, maybe plasti-dip matt would be better?

yes as said its safe to use plasticiser first before your chosen colour. pics when done

Its on the list of many things to do probs be done at the end of the month. Spraying all badges atm
