Hey guys wondering if anyone knows the answer to this my zed has lately had a fault with the airbag light coming on all the time, I would normally just reset it but I think this is a different problem, the DTC flashing code I get in diagnostic mode is two long flashes followed by 6 short ones. Looking in the manual it points to the crash zone sensor, I can see where it goes on 2002-2006 cars but my 2007 just doesn't have one under the bonnet latch. Any info on where to look would be awesome cheers :)

Did you check under the passenger seat?

Have you managed to clean the contact cleaner off the connections you sprayed before?

Why wire in a resistor when you don't need one? Unless your airbags were removed?

Ok, I'm a bit clueless, like Seabee. How does the zed know if you hit a lampost and it needs to deploy the airbags? There's must be something that tells the airbags to deploy?

If its not a crash sensor....is it magic?

Phew at one point I thought I was going insane! Yes I've sprayed with contact cleaner tried like 100 times and still a light. I hope someone will shine some light on this lol

The box in the centre console has a deceleration and inertia sensor in it that triggers the airbags. They do however have seperate side impact sensors located in the b posts.

They deffinetly sell zeds and gt-r's hmmm I'll ask for an upfront price I guess :)

With a dealer an upfront price will be a "quotation for listed work" or something similar. If they so much as fart inside your cars work bay they will charge you for it.

check the loom in the back of the seat. You may have a broken wire that is triggering the fault. I had this and a bit of soldering is all it takes to fix it

Thanks for the info I have checked all over both seats, also removed both plugs at separate times and got different flash codes, used contact cleaner I really don't think this is the seats this time around lol
