DaddyCee Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Hi People. Seems that the plastic surround on my 350Z wing mirrors has gone from black to grey. What's the best way to bring back the original colour? I heard smooth peanut butter, but I wondered if there were any other products to try first. Cheers. Quote
MidnightRacer Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 Various things do some sort of good. My current favourite is wd40 but i have used peanut butter and back to black aswell as tyre gel and other colour restorers. Quote
Shaun1982 Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 I asked this recently. Aerospace 303 I think it is people think is awesome. I thought about having mine painted & matte lacquered so its a permanent solution. The 303 is about £16 a bottle iirc Quote
DaddyCee Posted April 7, 2013 Author Posted April 7, 2013 wheres the best place to get 303 from? Quote
kiingsi Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 If you wash your car often then use back to black and a cloth and eventually it starts to stain the plastic after a few times of doing it. you just have to rub it in good and put quite a bit on the first couple of times. I was just doing mine today when cleaning the car and they came up great. Also you can do all the other little bits like the rubber seals and made a big difference to my wipers. Quote
Shaun1982 Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 wheres the best place to get 303 from? Can't remember now. If you search my thread called scabby plastics I think the answer is in that iirc Quote
ilogikal1 Posted April 7, 2013 Posted April 7, 2013 303 is available here (other retailers are available), but it doesn't last very long on exterior trim in all honesty (it's great for interior and engine bay though). IMO you'll be better off with Auto Finesse Revive instead. Quote
