14N Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 Hi all, Just fitting some Tein S Tech springs and on the front there are some brown plastic 'protectors', covering parts of the springs. Never seen anything like this before - does anyone know what they're for? Did you leave them on or take them off (they simply clip on). Quote

I have always left them on, dont ask me what they are for or do though Quote
theheff Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 I left them on, think they just protect the paint where the springs meet the struts Quote
joefrancis04 Posted April 6, 2013 Posted April 6, 2013 When I had the civic, the plastic covering was to stop the springs knocking and clunking when turning the wheel, not sure whether It's the same case here though! Quote

370Ad Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Leave them on bud. Its to stop the springs bottoming out and fully compressing Quote
