Dual pop charger on Hr

Does anyone on here have a dual pop charger on their HR?

 

If so, how easy to fit these?

 

Does it change or merely amplify the induction noise?

I fitted a Nismo dual I take.

Tool about 90 mins (including coffee break).

Skinned a couple of knuckles, but that's about it.

 

The Nismo creates a nice induction noise.

Yep.

Comes with shields.

Like ALL short ram induction kits, you will get heat soak.

But not enough for your Butt Dyno to spot a difference.

Have a look at the Takeda short ram intakes for the HR,

 

I sell a few of those, but not on old site.

Oh, and IIRC, the Nismo one was just a rebranded AEM one.

stock air boxes work the best , they may not give the same top end bhp but suffer from less heat soak issue.

Over exaggerated and an over used phrase on here if you ask me but I would say that as I sell intakes.

 

I'm sure Mark will have a more experienced answer from a tuners point of view but a naturally aspirated car in this country that's used for commuting and a bit of spirited driving now again will not suffer terribly. Yeah if your stuck in a traffic jam on a boiling hot day then you might suffer a bit until you start moving but that's the case with most cars any how.

I think it is bad, just sitting in traffic I have recorded 60+ deg C inlet charge, even if the AFM ( which houses the IAT ( air inlet temp) cools quickly the alloy pipework takes longer to cool. Plasticstock airbox/pipework works fine seen over 325 hub bhp on a 370Z running stock airboxes.
