daveparkin Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Firstly, sorry if this has been answered already, but I couldn't find anything in search. I have been away on business for the week, and then returned home on Friday to one of those record cold August mornings. The zed really struggled to crank, and I'm sure that's a sign the original battery is about to cry enough. Time to change it before the properly cold weather arrives. My question is does anybody have any opinion as to whether a genuine Nissan battery is worth having, or am I just better buying a quality replacement from a motor factors? Also, is there anything specific I need to know about changing the battery on the zed in partiicular to avoid problems with anything (e.g. immobiliser, ECU, Stereo etc.)? Thanks Quote
glrnet Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Motor factors Dave, got one of these for mine this year delivered for less than £60.00 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-350Z-3 ... 0823687101 Quote
Dblock Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 Get a battery from euro car parts. There is no benifit in getting a Nissan battery you will only be wasting money. A 005L is the size you need I think. Quote
daveparkin Posted September 2, 2012 Author Posted September 2, 2012 Thanks for the replies guys - motor factors it is Quote
FUG Posted October 30, 2012 Posted October 30, 2012 Slightly off topic but is there an easier way to check the fluid levels within the battery cells?? The diagrams within the handbook look nothing like what I can see when I take the cell caps off?! It is pretty dark down there though I admit but if I need to top up with distilled water I can not see the level lines or anything? Quote
Yarlsberg Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Anyone know what battery is recommended for a 313 ? There is no detail in the manual - just says take to main stealer for replacement but I would prefer to undo the 2 screws myself and save £100... Quote
