Right boys and girls of the IT, Website world!!

I'm looking for someone to help me push my site up the ranks with Google. I've done my best with hosting, creating, building, designing, adding bits etc. But now I'm at the end of my ability in terms of getting my site indexed on showing at least on the first page.

Now from the responses of my "Thank you" thread, it appears we've got some very helpful people out there.

So......

Who's prepared to help me fix my site. In return a full 1 day detail will be provided free in return, using only the finest products.

Thanks

Ian :)

I always used "ADDME"

http://www.addme.com/

Make sure you have loads of metatags on your home page, they must be either hidden when the page opens or have them the same colour as your back ground.

With out metatags, the web crawlers wont pick your site up easily.

as mentioned ADDME always had good results for me and myweb sites. I was usually in the first page and within the top 5 listings.

Metatags, metatags metatags......must have.

This is not an "one off job", it takes several months until you can see the results. However, no one, but NO ONE in this world can guarantee you a top position in Google's organic search results. In order to have ongoing success, it is important to continually monitor results and build meaningful content into your website.

Google likes:

Natural relevant links

Quality unique and fresh content

301 redirects if you make changes to the structure

Doesn't like:

Cloaking

Buying Links

Hidden text and links

Keyword stuffing

To be honest I would look at how you're currently using the internet for you marketing of your site. I would suspect tat will yield more results than doing anything practical to your website. You have to remember that Search engines don't know anything, they know which sites are most popularly searched for / clicked on from their own and they create a ranking base don this, the more of those top sites you have links off of the higher up in the search results you will become.

The other things you need to think about are stemming (word's get shortened) so detailing would become detail, when someone does a search for your website the words they type in get stemmed down and produce a vector within googles database, the closes sites to that vector end up the highest so...

Car detailing in Birmingham as far as google cars is car, detail, birmingham so on your website you need to have similar words, inaddition they look at the links between the words and the order to determine good results.

So one change you could make now that would help:

In your signature: Need your car detailed http://www.pristinedetailing.co.uk

To: Professional car detailing in Birmingham: http://www.pristinedetailing.co.uk

As an example, you have to work out what's the most useful terms for you. Also as someone pointed out this can take months. As for Meta tags, afaik they were good in the past i think most use them but they don't carry as much weight as the actual text on the site.

Anyway, I'm happy to help you out if you need some more help.
