MDMetal Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Hi guys, has anyone taken their badges off the alloy caps? I picked up some new ones from ALex and I want to respray the base plastic to match my new alloy colours, but dont want to spray the badge. Looking at the back it looks like the plastic pins are melted to seal them, am I being silly? anyone done this before? Cheers for any advice! Quote
sparky370z Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Yes, that's right they are melted on. But a 4mm hss drill at low speed removes the plastic and then just stick them back on after. This is what I did. Worked a treat Quote

rtbiscuit Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 or a very sharp chisel and a mallet and you can nip them off that way. but drilling is easiest. Quote

HaydnH Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 You might want to consider some "Z" ones instead of "Nissan" - they're available on e-bay. Quote
