electrical buzz/whistle in the cabin?

Hey,

 

Is anyone else getting a constant electrical buzz/whistle noise in the cabin of their 370?

 

Even with the stereo turned off it still does it, only quiet but noticeable!

Try changing the ventilation/air-conditioning/air recirculation settings and try opening/closing the air vents. Can be prone to these issues (as in many cars - not just ZEDs), just a case of finding what settings cause the noises.

It's not an air whistle, it is constant, even with aircon off etc, it's 100% an electrical buzz (high pitched)

I know its not helpful - but no, no buzz in mine

i get this after i faffed about taking the head unit out, mine is a very quiet hissing noise through the speakers, most likely a bad earth somewhere, probably done when pulling the cables about

No it's very helpful as it shows that mine needs looking at! I'll book it in!

This is quite a common report on the US forums, some people just can't hear it as it can be too high pitched. My 2010 does it but I normally can't hear it over the road noise!

ECU change is the apparent solution, but I'm dubious myself.

Mine does it according to my wife...I cant hear it in the drivers seat though...till reading this I didn't believe her. (late 2009 370)
