Hi all sorry to show my ignorance but what does a Carbon fibre bonnet look like on the under side saw one recently and it looked like glass fibre to me or is that how it should look on the unfinished side. Or was this a cheap fake masquerading as Carbon Fibre.

Two part mould bottom half made using fibre glass then top half made using cf with fibre glass reinforcement the two halfs are then joined during the moulding process or something along these lines, if the whole bonnet was made out of cf they would be at least 3 times more expensive i reckon.

I'm sure dry carbon parts come complete carbon fibre but you need a mortgage to buy them

Theres a dry carbon Nismo bonnet for the Skyline that comes in at around £7.5K :surrender: I think I'll settle for a FRP replica for £350

I've been looking at a carbon bonnet for a while now, but i know if i go carbon on one thing everything will be carbon very soon afterwards! which also means no money in the bank!

I'm considering goki carbon wings and doors ATM. All will be painted though to match the car along with my carbon seibon boot.
