Digsy Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 As we were driving home last night the missus pointed out that the floor of the passenger footwell gets really hot on a long trip. Is this just heat-soak from the mechanicals or could it be a problem? Quote
Stew Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Think it's normal Digsy. If it isn't then I think my car must be broken too! The cats must run close to the footwells come to think of it. Quote
GC350z Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Serious heat from them pipes. If you open the door and step out with the engine running (stationary of course) you can really feel the heat. Quote

Digsy Posted February 16, 2007 Author Posted February 16, 2007 Thought as much (although would have expected my side to be just as hot ) but in 2 years I've never noticed it. Must be because I don't put my handbag down on the floor. Quote

Revsport Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 There have been alot of posts about this on the US forums. Its very normal. My old RX7 used to get realy hot above the gearbox. There eas about 6 inches between the gearbox and my arm. Lew Quote
