Viper Posted October 5, 2011 Share Posted October 5, 2011 anyone in the West mids have any knowledge of the Z gearbox ? mine has developed an annoying 'machine gun' noise which disappears after a few miles ive just swapped the clutch and flywheel thinking that was the problem but it wasnt.. Viper Posted October 5, 2011 Author Share Posted October 5, 2011 OK thanks, '07 GT manual on 26K miles, the noise is there on start up every time and goes after a few miles. ZMANALEX Posted October 5, 2011 Share Posted October 5, 2011 Neil, If this is temperature related then I may be looking at the exhaust components as an exhaust blow or perhaps an exhaust manifold gasket blow can give off a machine gun like effect, however this usuually gets louder when the temperature increases.
