Fitting new front Y section

Hi guys,

 

My replacement OEM front Y section is due to arrive tomorrow and I was wondering how easy it would be to fit.

 

I have read a few posts on here about how difficult the old exhaust can be to remove but not sure whether the Y section is the problem or other parts of the exhaust.

 

Is it as simple as remove 2 bolts to each cat and 2 from the centre piece or have I made it sound easier than it is?

 

Any hints, tips or advice greatly appreciated.

get a blow torch and heat it first. Make sure the socket you are using is firmly on before applying force.

Yeah I did think about the majority of that apart from the pecker bit. OUCH!!!!

After doing a couple of changes on a Z, paying a garage £50 to do it is the much easier option

 

Shame I only realised that halfway through reinstalling my cats & after I'd removed the whole system

Ok message received loud and clear.... leave it the F**k alone

and if one of the bolts does shear on the cats while working on it, the removal of the remainders of that bolt could well ruin the cat... i say this from experience.
