A few days in and the first queries.

1. Clicking from rear when pulling away and second gear.

- I gather this is a common issue which should have been covered by original warranty, looks like mine slipped through.

2. Boot release does not fully open every time.

- A bit annoying; once I've found the fiddly little boot release the lid sometimes/often doesn't open properly. I end up having to press the switch and lift the tailgate at the same time. Awkward if carrying anything.

3. Centre of dash uneven.

- The right hand side is higher/more prominent than the left.

This could possibly be the stupidest question ever, but is the boot meant to open itself when you've pressed the button underneath?! Is that standard? I have to press mine and hold it down then lift the boot with the other hand which I thought was normal :bangin:

Push the button... the boot SHOULD "pop open" i.e. be released from it's catch, then with one hand, you should be able to open the boot.

it does not open all the way from the push of the button.

1. Common issue... Ask ZManAlex for a kit to fix it PMZMANALEX.gif

Click - assuming this is the fix. Will see if I can get it covered by warranty first. Not holding my breath though.

The dealer quick fix is usually to grease it. ;)

The other alternative is to remove the counterweight which is located underneath the trim, fairly essential if you already have or plan to fit an aftermarket rear spoiler.

I have no intention of fitting excess baggage so this may be an option.

Can you be more precise? Where is this counterweight please?

For the uneven dash, just give it a little thump. If the dash has been taken out at any point it may just not have been re-seated properly. As for the tailgate i have to lift mine, although removal of the weight has helped.

Search is your friend - always try the guides or the advanced search and the answer will normally be there ;)

For number 3, I think that the left hand side appears to sit slightly higher than the right due to the design of the centre panel. At least my one does and there are no gaps in the trim.
