(Sad i know) Casette player

My player won't accept cassettes which is annoying as i have some audio books i want to start listening to.

 

the symptons are:-

 

Insert cassette, display says checking side 2, then side 1 then makes a noise and spits it out. The thing wont even try to play which is very annoying.

 

ANy idea's?

try turning the ignition on

turn the stereo on

now turn the car off removing the keys

hold down the eject button for 30-60seconds

there will be no beep or anything but it should sort it

get your audio tapes on cd or mp3 player and join the modern world

no i was serious. this is how you get the tape player to reset after doing the tape deck hack so there is some from of reset happening in there, i had hoped it was just a glitch that could be sorted by it.
