ir_fuel Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Anyway, off topic, and I agree it will look better on the car back to superchargers now ... Quote
captint Posted November 12, 2006 Author Posted November 12, 2006 Good call I know the Novidem charger has an internal switch, I am assuming the Vortech does not? Quote
Sarnie Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 There are some reasons for putting wider tyres on a car, one of the reasons being heat dissipation, and the fact that a wider tyre is better to make low-profile than a small tyre for cornering. If you consider the grip of a tyre, or its friction to the road, friction is dependant on the weight of the car and the contact surface with the road, and the compound of the tyre ofcourse. Changing the size of the contact patch will just redistribute the weight per unit of your car, and the total amount of friction will not change. B0LLOCKS The wider the wheel, the more friction is created, hence more grip Quote

StephenG Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 I'm gonna give Marc ning powers to get rid of the lot of you, just for a laugh Apparently the smilies mean he didn't mean that Captint - no clutch on the Vortech, it runs at all times, but the effect is negligible under 2500rpm anyway (so if you want to drive like it's not there... stay under 2.5Krpm) Quote
captint Posted November 13, 2006 Author Posted November 13, 2006 Well that should save a bit more cash. Quote
