sparky370z Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Minor damage There isnt a panel thats not damaged and the engine has not been turned over! Could be a good project, but not at that price. Quote
leonk Posted March 23, 2011 Author Posted March 23, 2011 Still think 6k is a bit dear for some mats, even if they are genuine, Quote
Watshot Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 'immaculate interior' ......apart from needing a new dash and steering wheel as both front airbags have deployed. Still, least of your worries....... Quote
leonk Posted March 24, 2011 Author Posted March 24, 2011 Look at the missing passenger door grab handle....... Passenger must have been hanging on to it as they took off!!! Quote
Freebird Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 id like to know how the salesman managed to do that good of a job on a z :/ what a plum Quote
rabbitstew Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 HPI clear means absolutely nothing. I used to buy smashed up cars and repair them and the amount of cars id get which were insurance write-offs and yet when I HPi checked them they still came up clear. As with any damaged car you have to factor in the cost of repair. Insurance repairers seriously rip insurance companies off with their costs, so the insurance company writes the car off - but any non greedy garage or private individual can repair it for cheaper. If you use 2nd hand bits, then its even cheaper still. The biggest risk is that once you start taking bits off to repair you find other bits which need doing also - and once you get that sump repaired, the engine may show all sorts of problems.... its just the risk you take. That said you can get some bargains and make a few quid out of it all if you know what you are doing. Quote
Darren-B Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 I thought about offering him £50 for the Brembo`s but I`m guessing they don`t work Quote
