Stew Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Sorry to hear that. It sucks. You can also get people to fix scuffs on wheels while you are in work and stuff. I've never used them but I played Golf with a guy that does it (friend of my GFs dad) and he said he can make them like new! Quote
sl114 Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Chips away can refurb alloys, depends if they can fix it with the tyre on though. Sorry to hear about this hun, hope you get it sorted soon Quote
lomoto Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 if your handy with a small file and a bit of emery paper you should be able to smooth it out if your carefull, and take your time, bit of colour match paint to finish off as well Quote
Sheena Posted November 2, 2006 Author Posted November 2, 2006 Thanks so much lads, taking day off tomorrow so will sort it out then Thanks again for advice xx Quote
stevie_350z Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 I also had the same problem @ the weekend - scuffed both kerb-side alloys after being cut across by a big mamma in a BMW X5. It was either that or my front right wing I really, _really_, _REALLY_ hate X5s! Quote

I swirved and curbed the front and rear offside alloys:headhurt:!!!!! B*****d!!!!!!!! I hate Micra drivers, they are just as bad as white van drivers Quote

Digsy Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 Sheena Really sorry to hear this. Such small-minded, cowardly tossers should be lined up and knee-capped. The only good thing is that you didn't get hurt and kerbed alloys are pretty easy to sort in the general scheme of things. I'd think about gettng your tracking checked now, though. Get it sorted and put it behind you. Quote
H5 Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 http://www.wheelrefurbishing.com/ They will collect and deliver for free in a certain area, and a top top job. Sorry to hear it, to$$er! Quote
rickya Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 I did the same thing on Thu, kebed the frnt drivers side wheel about 5 inches while trying to squeeze past a dust bin truck!! Should have known better, my stupid fault. But my chipsaway bloke only charges approx £35 to £40 per wheel, which is not too bad. Quote
