stubby airel

i recently bought an ebay special stubby ariel for my zed, its fits and looks fine but the reception is poor compared to the standard fishing line.

only after i purchased it did i notice the posts about the o.e.m s2000 stubby, ive now had a look for one of these s2000 versions but with no luck, anyone point me in the right direction?

the s2000 antenna fit but i read somewhere that the CRV ones don't have an overhang.

Some of them have a metal backing plate,undo it so its still on but lose then check the reception,if its better you can re-fit it with a small rubber o ring preventing the metal of the stubby touching the body.

My reception on a s2000 aerial is fine never fiddled with it just unscrewed the old one and screwed in the new one...
