djrm Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/02-05-NISSAN-350Z ... 29f9f9dace Any good? Or waste of money?? I'm not looking for a BHP increase as I know there really isn't much in it and the stock one does a good job, just after looks really! (without too much power loss) If this is no good, what's people's recommendations?? Thanks! Ryan Quote
M13KYF Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 I wouldn't buy it. If going down this road I would buy from a trusted maker and not a money maker. Your more likely too loose even more BHP with a cheap system Quote

UNABASHED Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 you can pick up a second hand popcharger for around £85 it seems at moment, still cheap and get great sound and proven ability (although your still gunna loose a few horses, but only little ones!) Quote
M13KYF Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 I would recommend you get a 06 onwards OEM airbox. Best for performance Quote
dyla350z Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 I would recommend you get a 06 onwards OEM airbox. Best for performance thought it was 57 onwards. Quote
andlid Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 like the piping, wonder if it would fit into the std airbox, might buy one to find out Quote
UNABASHED Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 it would be cheap for a silver finished pipe as most places sell them for at least £100, I think someone should buy it to see if it fits to a popcharger for me Quote
djrm Posted September 3, 2010 Author Posted September 3, 2010 like the piping, wonder if it would fit into the std airbox, might buy one to find out That's another thing I was thinking, I only want it to make the piping look a bit better, do you reckon it would fit the standard box?? With a bit of trimming maybe?? Quote

I should really just leave it since down the line I'll be getting a different polished pipe...you buy it! wouldn't a metal pipe absorb more heat than the plastic.... again losing more BHP? how often do you look under the hood? id rather have stock box + panel filter for more juice Yeah I know what you mean but I do want the engine to look great... that's the only part of the car that's changing!! then get a panel filter and plenum spacer? for the sake of opening your bonnet and staring at a shiny pipe for a few seconds, i dont think its worth it Make somthing else shiny that doesnt hinder performance instead? I don't know, each to thier own Quote
UNABASHED Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 how long is the air present in the pipe for, surely not long enough to be heated? for the sake of loosing 1BHP I think shiny is ALWAYS worth it Quote
captain Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 how often do you look under the hood? id rather have stock box + panel filter for more juice +100 Spend money making your car go slower on something nobody ever sees. Quote

andlid Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 the pipe is longer then standard so higher torq would be possible I got the non-uk pipe that has some sort of snorkel on it for emissions was stopped by a scooter driver today telling me his mate crashed his 07 silver Z the other week so might look at the yard for some bits Quote
