neo Posted August 13, 2010 Share Posted August 13, 2010 had a android 2.1 based phone for a few weeks now, got a few decent apps/games but struggling for a decent mp3 player, something like winamp would be good, can anyone recommend one ?? stuff i've got installed - games - abduction atilt 3d labyrinth frozen bubble sudoku daily pacific wings astro commander (missile command) deadly chambers (demo/trial) galaxy breakout (well designed arkanoid) munchy soliatarie (no ads) reversi apps - bubble (spirit level) crossword solver flashlight fora dictionary (with a few installed dictionary's) shopping list launcher pro (not looked at in detail yet but seems very good) opera mini 5.1 ('net browser) compass IMDB ( movie website) got anything else to recommend ? pptom Posted August 13, 2010 Share Posted August 13, 2010 Most of the google apps are pretty good, as mentioned above sky maps is a great little gadget, also My Tracks and Navigate which is their new Sat Nav program. Great as a backup, its got me to the right place a few times when I've struggled / waited for my Garmin to find satellites. MacW Posted September 8, 2010 Share Posted September 8, 2010 Games: RoboDefense has already been mentioned but I'll add my +1 to that Homerun Battle 3D is ridiculously addictive. And of course the beta of Angry Birds is huge fun. Cestos is a good distraction too. Apps: 3G Watchdog to keep tabs on your data use comes in handy for me. myRemote is a cool toy that will control your Windows Media Player over wifi. And of course Swype for keyboard goodness, although you have to be quick to get in teh beta these days. They only seem to reopen it once every few weeks for a very limited period.
