Dare i change

After owning a few sports cars over the years i find myself maybe needing to sell my car and get something a bit cheaper to run.

Thing is, i do about 3,000 miles a year and any mileage is town mileage. I was thinking of a Mito Cloverleaf which is pretty cool. But in the end it will just be sitting there not going anywere over the year(s).

 

Should i change, or just keep what i got a and sell only if i have to. Esp when theres some good deals out there.

If you drive in town, and never ever drive on twistie a-b roads i could see why you may want a cheaper car. Every car is the same if you in stand still traffic, apart from the luxery interior.

if you only do 3000 miles a year then surely the zed is fantastically cheap to run and gives you a nice car for a sunday blast?

I recently worked out the single biggest cost of running my Z is petrol...i doubt you will save much by getting rid of the Z if your only doing 3000miles a year....

I do around 3-4k too. But I don't own the Zed for practicality. As Unabashed said - its all about the sunday blast!

After 5 years of ZED ownership I still find myself popping out for the factor. No other reason.

 

I'm only doing about 5/6k miles a year, but every mile is pure joy.

by the time you have sold this car and bought the next you will have lost enough money to make the whole idea pointless.

Your Z will only lose about £3k in value over the next 3 years. A brand new eco-hatch will lose that much as soon as you drive off the forecourt Then another £5-6k over 3 years!
