bernmc Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 They're a bit dodgy in the wet, aren't they. Wife was muttering about the back end being a bit loose yesterday... starting to talk like a petrol head after that track day ! Quote
Removed Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 They're a bit dodgy in the wet, aren't they. Wife was muttering about the back end being a bit loose yesterday... only if you have a heavy right foot... Quote
bernmc Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 only if you have a heavy right foot... You leave my feet out of this (Sarnie the 2nd!) Quote

flirt Posted September 2, 2006 Author Posted September 2, 2006 Sorry to hear about this, mate. Can you bear to share the gory details? yea went to go through the underpass, down hill wet weather. changed lanes and back end kicked out just enough to clip the car i was going round!! not a fast crash, just lots of panels bent!! very true im alive! was hoping for engine damage, good excuse to supercharge lol Quote
Guest prescience Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Yes sorry you got caught out - you're OK and its all fixable Quote
rickya Posted September 2, 2006 Posted September 2, 2006 Sorry to hear mate ps are you on Bridgestones? Quote
M13KYF Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 gutted for you. Hope you get it all sorted soon Quote
350matty Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Sorry to hear the bad news! Could have been worse! Does the Traction control not wrk in the wet???? cos i thought did. its saved me on a couple of times. Quote
hanel Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Really sorry. As long as you are OK! A car can be fixed and put back together. Hope you get it back on the road soon. Quote
AndyC Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Nightmare! I've had something similar a while ago when still on the 'Stones (though by some miracle I didn't hit anything). Put my foot down in a straight line and went sideways. When the tyres are worn the esp just aint quick enough. Really sorry to hear about it flirt but at least you're ok. Quote
flirt Posted September 4, 2006 Author Posted September 4, 2006 yea was running on bridgestones!! yea will see if i loose the insurance cause im speeding history isnt too good and its a hard car to insure! oh well if u see me in a fezza wave lol Quote
H5 Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Good luck. Hope it all sorts itself out and you can keep the Zed. Quote
mighty Z Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Sorry to hear about the car. Iam on bridgestones and there bold on the inside edge on the front so I will definatley take my time now. How's it going finding the panels. I bet there's not many in the salvage yards yet? Quote
Jacko Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 Sorry to hear about the car.Iam on bridgestones and there bold on the inside edge on the front so I will definatley take my time now. How's it going finding the panels. I bet there's not many in the salvage yards yet? If they are bald only on the inside edge, then it sounds like your alignment could be out. I'd get it checked at one of the four wheel alighment places. Can get it done for about £60...... worthwhile if it stops you eating tyres prematurely..... Quote
Traktion Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 Agreed, mine were wearing on the inside front (hadn't noticed until they were bald already!) and the alignment was way off at the front. I got everything sorted when I got the new tires put on! Quote
mighty Z Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 Thanks for the advice. It's the first thing Iam going to do when I get my new ones on. Quote
H5 Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 When I had mine done it transformed the car. So much nicer to drive straight away! Quote
