Tyres RE040 or RE050?

Hey,

 

I need a couple of rear rubbers ahead of the MOT next week, been looking at Bridgestones on camskill as I already run RE040's on the front, the rear currently has some ziex somethin that were on when I got it.

 

Should I go for the RE050's over the RE040's? Prices aren't miles off you see;

personally I would go with the 050 definately a better tyre

Just had all 4 tyres replaced last week from the 040s and now got the 050s. Definitely a better option.

Ideally you'd keep them all the same.

 

I would buy 050s though.

 

I would definitely search on 'mixed' tyres though first so you go in with eyes wide open.

I too would say the RE050's are a superior tyre comapred to the RE040's ...

re mixing tyres, I've read all the threads and not overly concerned; been running mixed tyres since I got it with not one issue - in fact the rears are pretty desperate now but still manage to keep on the road
