Buckley
hi all seriously looking at getting a 350z very soon - always loved the look of them!! ive seen the following: - http://www.evanshalshaw.com/vehiclesear ... lse&type=1 can anyone tell me if thats a UK car? im guessing it has the GT Pack too with sat-nav and leather seats etc - but you guys are the experts! is that good value for money? ive been driving just 3years, only had a Punto 1.2 and BMW 320 Compact so far and am now wanting a bit more 'grunt' for my next car!! only obstacles i have are a) the girlfriend and the fuel consumption everyone knows they are not the most fuel efficient, thats not why you have one, but i have a 30mile round trip to work and back 5 days a week, plus id use it sparingly through the evenings and maybe once at the weekend - what sort of costs is this going to give me petrol wise now its 120.9 a litre round near me in Sheffield? im having a few insurance quotes at the moment and its looking at a grand, i hvae 3 years no claims but theese are high group insurance - are there specialist insurers for these types iof cars or any tips to make it cheaper? finally, servicing and maintaining the car - obviously if nothing big goes wrong then what costs am i looking at per year to run it sufficiently? im guessing also that as the car is pre-2006 then it qualifies as the lower road tax at just £215, is that right? hopefully you guys can help and point me in the right directions look forward to your replies, and then hopefully meet you all on the road trips ive seen!! thanks
Ian
Car is a UK car with GT pack Last time I filled up with fuel a full tank was about £80, but that was 3months ago How old are you? Depending on age £1K isnt that bad a price, the club insurers require you to be over 25 (i think) aswell Road tax is the lower band but mine went up from £215 to £23something Servicing prives vary on your location
Maccaman
Yep it's a UK car, GT spec. Price looks ok for 80k+ on a 54 plate and you might be able to haggle a bit. Petrol will depend on the roads and how you drive, anything from 18mpg to 30mpg. You should be able to average 22/24. Servicing will depend on where you are located, whether you use Nissan or an independant and which service. P3 is the most expensive one (goes P1, P2, P1, P3) and should be 9k or 12 months. Ruddles
to the forum! I do 10 miles a day for 5 days, 10-40 miles on the weekends and it's costing me anywhere between £30-£60. Hope that helps slightly!
Vik54
Welcome to the forum You'll find all the info you need in the servicing section and this is a good thread for someone new to the world of zed viewtopic.php?f=9&t=10933 Anyway its not the day to day running that costs - its when you catch the modifying & track bugs
Bradders
I personally wouldn't touch Evans Halshaw with a barge pole I'm afraid. Their customer service is awful. I had to put a high level complaint in against them 10 years ago. I've been back since and they don't seem to have improved any. Sorry Bradders. rich5259
Make sure it has the remote control for the sat nav - IIRC there are no buttons on the early models
