Spacers.... Talk to me....

I have a customer who wants to put spacers on his 350Z and im wondering if people can answer a few questions about this for me.

Basically the rears i know will be fine but how do spacers affect the front wheels setup? Obviously by adding spacers im going to be knocking the offset out but how do 350's react to this? Im a german car man personally and i know that most german cars react fine to this but I also know alot of cars dont and you end up with tramlining problems and poor tyre wear/steering feel...

Also what happens about the studs? Whats the biggest spacers you can do before changing the studs and are they press in or thread in studs?

And finally, wheres the best place to get spacers and whats the recomended size to go??

Cheers people

I don't think that spacers cause any adverse effects with handling on the Zed ...

Most members with spacers usually go for 20mm all round or 20mm front and 25mm on the rear ...

There are a number of traders on the forum who offer good deals on spacers ...

Try sending CS a private message .. he's a trader and member on this forum.

What wheels are on the car?

Seems that Eibach has the spacer market pretty much wrapped up... you coming from the german sector should be able pick some up nicely cheap ;)

Have no personal experience with spacers but people seem to run 20mm all around with standard wheels no problem. Was trying to find a thread / read that stated the recommended offset's areas... I'll see if I can poke around a bit more and post it up here for you.

Not 100% sure what wheels but they are genuine nissan wheels, 18 inch 6 spoke designs with the little squares on the spokes. They dont run spigot rings so need the 66mm hub spacers (i think).

Andy, your looking like the man with a plan, i will speak to my customer today and let him know on price. I have found the 73.1 bore spacers for £110 delivered but i think ones that actually fit properly would be best...

I will let you know...

Cheers
