Wee Drive out - Hartside & Alston

Had a drive out in the Alston/Hartside area with my mate with his Clio R27. Some epic roads in the area, especially the epic section from Melmerby to the Harside cafe, we did it about 5 times! Some nice hairpins about too!

 

Also did the A689 and the B6295 Allenheads road to make a neat triangle. Didn't see any nice metal about though, just bikes!

It looks very quiet at the Hartside Andrew. Thats certainly a fun route.

The cafe was nealy full inside, but bikes don't take up much space do they?

hahah thats pretty much the same route i took on monday dude. apart from mine started on the other end of "hartside road"

I drive this road quite a lot when i go up to Newcastle with work. Its a great road and beats sticking to the motorways all the way there!

 

I've never had the chance to drive it in the zed as i use hire cars for work but at least i don't to worry to much about pot holes etc!
