clarkie34
They should go off the serial number on the back of it.
dan112
ok so i need to take the thing out! surely they should have done that when i took it 60miles to have them check it the first time lol. What is the diff between a high or low bose then? any way of telling by looking at it?
clarkie34
Don't know about the high/low thing never heard of that.Yeah they should have removed it taken details off the back and replaced it until the new one arrived.I had mine replaced under warranty and that's what they did with mine. dan112
Sounds like you had a better after sale service than im getting, they said something about trying to possibly get a touch screen one instead but that sounds like they're sweet talking me to keep me happy lol, i expected more from a main nissan dealer. Also they reckon that the creaking is sorted with some grease, but is that not just a temp fix? shouldnt they replace the drop links, my 3 month warranty runs out soon i dont want it to start creaking again in a few weeks then i have to pay for new drop links. i love the car to bits just little niggles and bad service from nissan letting it down. clarkie34
To be honest mate the Bose is a heap of crap.I swapped mine for a alpine touch screen.
ATTAK Z
A lot of people on here have trouble with the Bose skipping when cold including me. The Bose came in 2 versions, the upgraded higher output version being standard on a UK GT car ..... don't know about the creaking at the back. AlexZ
The creaking is very common. when I bought mine it was also making the noise. I just lubed mine with chain lube for my mountain bike and it hasnt made a noise since. If they replace them in time they will do the same...it's not the fact the damaged just dry. Lube is fine in my opinion. Alex
Vale
Am getting worried about you and your lube Alex if we meet up for this pie and a pint should i be worried ?
AlexZ
Nope, it solved the problem I had and a few other members after a short thread... Unless you like me, then I'm game for anything you have dude. Sorry to mess your thread up mate...no more rubbish. Alexz
Gervais
My radio did the same thing the day i picked it up. No joy with buttons etc, but then when i got back to Essex it worked fine and has been ok since Still asked them to change it though and they've said that they will when it goes back in for a week. dan112
i was quite happy with the bose, the sound quality i thought was realy good, well its gonna take 6 weeks to get one ordered in from japan so they said they were looking at a kenwood touchscreen one but they dont know if it will work, anyone know if aftermarket units work with the bose set up? as id like to keep it. Thanks for all the replies
clarkie34
They dont come from Japan mate, they are made in France. In fact they are not even Bose, they are made by Clarion and rebranded.thats why they break so easily.
