I once had a filling without anasthetic because the dentist wanted to see the receptionists baby that she was parading around and it was nearing 5:30pm! When a dentist has a torture device so near to my nerve endings I'm not going to risk moving at all - the effects could be devastating. Had white knuckles tho!
