How to wash microfibres / applicator pads

I normally throw the microfibres in the washing machine on 30 deg C with no detergent. Is this ok for the microfibres? Is it just me or does this leave a bit of a whiff in the washing machine?

 

I never really wash the applicator pads - I have them marked for each different product so I don't mix them up. Is it ok to put these in with the microfibres?

ooh not sure - I have always just washed them by hand in a sink just with soap and let dry naturally

I normally put all (micro fibres,mitts, pads) my items in one load at 60 degrees and i use a liquid detergent. Never had any problems with anything after.

Lob all mine in washing machine without fabric softener.

Put all my cloths, microfibres and pads into a tub and soak in hot water and Fairy Liquid.

Squeeze out all the wax or whatever out of the pads, then into the washing mashine, 40 degrees quick wash.

 

If you have a whiff in the washing machine afterwards, just bung some soda crystals into the machine and run the machine on empty, should get rid of the smell.

as said, give them a rinse out first and chuck them in the washer, the hotter the better with a small amount of powder of whatever you use but NO fabric conditioner.

I found fabric softener made the megs drying magnet not perform as good. I just use some woolite. Good for hand washing fabrics
