Hello,

I've bought a new wiper blade and tried to remove the old one and it won't budge. I know there's not much travel lifting it away from the rear windscreen, but is it just a case of brute force to unclip the blade from the arm?

Thanks

at the pivot point of the rear wiper arm the the cover that sits over it should slide back about 3-5 mm, which then allows the rear arm up for changinging cleaning etc.

i know this as huskies does it, but mine doesn't as it seems to have seized on.

have a try but if its not budging then leave it and go for plan B

... I had the same trouble a couple of weeks back, but daren't post on here through fear of being laughed at!

I just swore at it quite a lot, and eventually worked out the clip underneath, and a bit of brute force

Thanks all!

I'm a muppet with car parts, caused no end of trouble with a Focus I used to own. Decided to paint the calipers bright yellow and it all went wrong from there....!

I had no luck with this. The lower cover slid back ok but the upper arm would still not lift above a few centimetres  . I managed to flex the wiper arm just enough to get the new wiper in.

Was a bugger to fit, hopefully won't have to do it again!
