PG325 Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 I'm seriously thinking about buying a convertible for the summer but am worried it won't fit in the garage adequately enough to open the doors fully to get me in and out. I understand they are 1815mm wide but does anyone if this is with or without the mirrors? Thanks. PG. Quote
martinmac Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 Hi and welcome to the forum. I have a roadster but its miles away at the moment so I cant check. The wing mirrors do fold in by a switch in the door though. Quote
Stew Posted April 28, 2009 Posted April 28, 2009 I seem to think that is excluding the mirrors...... Roadster - no problem! Roof down and jump out! Quote
Ekona Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 I've got a regular garage which is about as narrow as you'll ever find, and mine fits in if you park over to the left as much as you dare. The door will then open enough to let you out without too much of an issue, but don't forget to line the wall of the garage with carpet or something equally soft! I had more of an issue with the length of the car, as it's surprising just how long it actually is. Quote
rich5259 Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 I've got a coupe, fits in length-wise but i can't get the door open enough to get out . Getting the builders in soon to make the garage 3ft wider Quote
M13KYF Posted April 29, 2009 Posted April 29, 2009 been asked before. Here ya go viewtopic.php?f=9&t=15330&hilit=+width 1970mm with mirrors out, 1815mm folded in Quote
