chazza Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Guys, i am soon going down the road of lowering my car and fitting eibach spacers front and back to the original 18's. The thing is, my car is an early 2003 import which i am told has harder standard suspension to the UK cars.... Do you think i would be better off fiting lowering springs to some UK dampers (sure i can get some well priced used)? Dont need to go down the road of Coilovers... Also, what are the best lowering springs to go for? I will be using 20mm front and rear spacers. Cheers Quote
MITZ@CougarStore Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Eibach springs to compliment your Eibach spacers, I do them for £205 delivered for members... Quote
chazza Posted February 27, 2009 Author Posted February 27, 2009 CS...£200 delivered the bolt on spacers right? So the Eibach springs are well recommended? How much do these lower the car? Quote
MITZ@CougarStore Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 CS...£200 delivered the bolt on spacers right? So the Eibach springs are well recommended? How much do these lower the car? Yes indeed, £200 for members, £215 for none forum members, which is keeping with other retailers... The Eibach springs are labelled as 30mm front and rear, however, in real terms, they sit about 26-28mm, perfect... Quote
chazza Posted February 27, 2009 Author Posted February 27, 2009 Thanks mate, you will be my first call So...what do you guys think about changing the JDM dampers? Quote
breay Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Ian was selling his standard suspension...might be worth a p.m. to him Quote
dcash5 Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 In all honesty I doubt you would notice the difference between JDM shocks and UK shocks, and harder shocks would be better with lower springs due to the reduced travel Quote
chazza Posted March 1, 2009 Author Posted March 1, 2009 Any other opinions on weather this will be worth the swap? Cheers all Quote
Stew Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 I doubt it'd be worth it. Stick on a set of lowering springs and away you go! Quote
ZMANALEX Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 As previously discussed by pm, lowering springs on U.K oem struts would be the way forward with this which would give you the improvements that you are looking for with the minimum of work. As you know I have these good to go, all completely assembled and ready to fit. Cheers, Alex. Quote
chazza Posted March 2, 2009 Author Posted March 2, 2009 Is this the "h" or the "s" kit alex? I understand the "s" kit gives more of a drop? Quote
Sarnie Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Ian was selling his standard suspension...might be worth a p.m. to him I think Mrlizard is too To be honest I don't think the diference would be that great to warrant the swap.......... Quote
