Like the colour but for 30k i would rather a second hand aston!

It still doesnt float my boat but will reserve judgement until i see one in the flesh.

Wait for my invite ...........

You cant compare the two really, in terms of reliability, running costs, insurance the Aston would cost you alot more than the Nissan.

Agreed on looks, performance, style the Aston wins hands down but then again its in different ball park for most of the people who will be putting their name down for a 370z.

What aston are you planning on getting for 30k? :scare: not a V8 or DB9 i assume?

Another couple of months and they'll be skirting £30k. Some are already well under £40k.

+1

A £100k car has £100k car servicing and up keeping costs, even when its £35k...........................

If I bought a 370z I'd expect 3 years of relatively cost free driving and to have anything defective to be sorted by the warranty. An Aston won't be anywhere near as cheap to run............

You are correct gents :) expensive cars expensive running costs but I suppose what I am trying to say is the 370 just does'nt look special enough to warrant such a price tag? It will also be expensive to run (like ours are)

Go on Autotrader and see what you can get for 30K - (it was a DB7 I was looking at)

On another note - I am sure they have taken the 370z round a track on 5th Gear as its in their titles sequence the other week?

Lets see if Westway Nissan send me an invite to view the 370 when it arrives - to see if they can prize my wallet open (ha fools!) my wallet is full of Asda petrol receipts and fluff!

Fair enough, personally i do think it looks very good and when you compare against its rivals, namely the TT and Cayman i think its as good looking if not better looking than these cars and the fact it doesn't have the badge is a bonus for me.

The only thing that puts me off is what they will be worth a year down the line but i appreciate all cars are losing money at a crazy rate at the moment.

I look forward to your photos Stanski when you get invited down to Westway...i may just happen to be passing and call in :p

I know as soon as you see one in the flesh parked next to the 350z it will make it look so dated and the 370z will look so B)

I saw one at the autosport show and the design looks fantastic, really compact and muscular...a suspension drop, spacers and it will be one mean looking car.

Mean no disrespect Stan, but I dont think our cars are expensive on up keep. I find mine cheaper to run than my old Leon FR (1.8T). Servicing is cheaper, petrol isnt much more expensive. Parts are cheaper to replace (what with the Leon being a VAG car). I admit its not the cheapest car in the world to run, but its a hell of a lot cheaper than an Aston or Porsche!

I agree with you the TT is just well too corporate and boring for me (old shape made a better impact !) Caymen well not really that interesting for me - although probably a great car dont get me wrong?

The 370 will lose money big stylie as its the wrong badge. Me probably like most people on this forum like the fact that its not a car with a posh badge we aint no badge snobs!

If I get in an invite I will sneak my camera gear in (do you think they will notice the tripod , flash and lenses etc )- cant sneak them down my trousers can I!! Hey maybe I can go round kicking its tyres, sharp intake of breath etc etc ...

Chris yes your right Zeds are not the most expensive cars to run and buy and yes Astons and Porkers will cost the earth but if you go down the specialist garage route you may be able to offset the costs a little. I have no intention of getting an Aston I dont have that spare cash I was merely trying to point out that for £30K there is an awful lot of nice tin out there .... especially now under the current climate?

Upmarket cars are cheaper , frugal tin boxes are holding their own but in a recent classic car mag it seems that Classics are making a come back - again the bread and butter cars pre 1973 are actually in demand again - tax free and sub £100 insurance, cheap and easy self servicing etc etc funny old world eh? :)

Oh well ....... lets see what happens in April then when the first shipment comes in... do you think that Blue colour will be the press release colour that everyone will buy?

Yeah I agree Stan, the retail price of it is high in the current climate, but who would be mad enough to buy one new. I dont think anyone on here would do that. Second hand prices will see a massive drop I think, so could be some bargins to be had for them if they manage to sell any in the first place. I can see some cracking deals coming out otherwise they wont shift any!
