Hey, im looking to buy some new rims,

8.5 front and 9.5 rear +25ET each? is thsi fine

also

i dont like super low profile tyres, i want at least 40 profile all around so atm i have

225/50/17 rear

255/45/17 rear

with that calculator i have come to the closest match being

front 255/40R18 +0.7 bigger or 245/40R18 -0.55 smaller

rear 275/40/18 +1.54% bigger

(265/40/18 dont exist)

are these sensible sizes?

i saw big phils azure 350 with the rotas and it looked like it had the perfect thickness, what whas he running?

I think IanS16 has this now - try searching

Rays fitted by Nissan (18") have 45 profile

225/45 front on 8"

245/45 on 8.5"

On a 8.5 front and 9.5 rear alloy with +25ET offset I would go:

Front: 245/40/18 or 235/40/18

Rear: 275/40/18

I would'nt go 18x9 on front, it will spoil ride with understeer & unnecesary weight. Especially then running 275 width tyres on front[/b]

you think? only reason i went for that is as this guy sed it was perfect and it looks amazing:

They dont say how well they ride, just that they look good. To me that seems too wide, but if you can get away with it why not! Be a trend setter. Let us know how it handles

yeah maybe i will go thinner on the front but i really wanted to try the 295 on the rear

maybe i will got for 8.5 fronts with 245-255 / 40's ill have a look into it

theyre only 150 each on camskill for toyos, which aint that bad

Only problem with staying thin on the front and wide on the rear is that you will get more understeer. Depends how you like the car balance to feel really.

ok u guys were right lol, i did sum research and even sumo power 600bhp 350z dont run that wide lol

so this is what i have decided

8x18 - 245/40/18 ET25

10x18 - 275/40/18 ET25

:D wot you think? theyre both about 0.5% out too which is the closest i could get

thx for advice!

+100 that sounds good to me.

Although if you're staying 18" and running 40 profile, you may need to lower the car as the wheels could look a bit swamped?
