This may explain what has happened to the car I'm about to buy. Its a silver GT with black mudflaps. Looks unique but I'd ideally want them silver to match the rest of the bodywork.

Looks like I'm going upto ESR once I get the car at the weekend........any excuse to go to the spiritual home of Zedland! :yahoo:

I got mine off eBay just like these, then got them painted at a local bodyshop for around £60. Still cheaper than buying them ready painted, I found.

Once the mudflaps are fitted, are they easy to remove again or will there be marks from where they have been?

Depends how you fit them bud, if there is any type of bonding, then yes, if screws/nus/bolts as such, personally im not to sure how they fit, but might not leave nothing, sure someone will be along to shed more light on it.........

From memory, I think they fit mainly into existing bolt holes, and only need a hole drilled in the inner wheel arch, so shouldn't be a problem to remove them.

I removed my rear mudflaps when i had to remove the rear bumper recently - they're held on by 3 bolts - and there are no marks where they were...

I might put them back on if i can be bothered next year!
