Sat-Nav Speaker overide

With the current set-up when the sat-nav kicks in to tell you which direction to turn etc, it interrupts the passenger side speaker, has anyone, or does anyone know of a way of switching this to the drivers side?

 

The standard set-up means the volume has to be high enough to drown out the stereo, which isn't pleasant for passengers on the odd occasion i have them.

Erm.. i think yours is the wrong way round somehow. Mine used to play over the drivers side, not the passengers i think!

 

Dont know they would have been swapped though as i think its all digital

Drown out the stereo? The stereo volume is reduced, on mine, when an announcement is made by the satnav.

it is reduced but with the engine noise and the stereo does get in the way, its not like it is not loud enough it just would be a lot better if it came out of the drivers door instead of the passengers, and like i said when there is a passenger in the car, it ends up being loud on there side and only ok for me.

 

I had a look at the manuals and cant see anything about settings for this.

That sat-nav womans voice is so irritating I tend only to use it when Im hopelessly lost! Much prefer to listen to my music uninterupted.

 

But as ian says, it should be the driver speaker that kicks in.

My car plays it out of the passenger side speaker only as well. Thought is was weird myself that I could not adjust it to the driver side!

Mine comes from the passenger's side as well! Thought it was weird...

I have deactivated the voice tho... it's so bloody annoying...and i cant swich over to Chubby Brown....

i tend to use the voice button if i need to hear the guidance...

i guess that it's a common thing, might have to get used to driving without the voice.

mine come's from the driver's side but is so quite i cannot hear what it is saying. When i take a call it is fine but Stnav !! forget it
