Q: What car will stig be driving? 13-Nov-08

A: Hi, The car used for the lap with The Stig cannot be confirmed until the day as there are various different cars available on different days. However, the highlight of the experience is that you get to be driven around the lap with The Stig so please assume that the car will not be a high performance car. Many thanks and good luck bidding, Pudsey and the team

Gutted if its the 'reasonably priced car'.

Yeah ditto. Given it would be a very fast lap even in a poor car, but you'd assume they'd have one performace car there on the day to use!

There are dozens of performance cars there:

But those cars don't below to the BBC do they? They are part of that company that does the track days and remember - you loan a car to the BBC at your peril, if it gets smashed up they just hand it back so its not just a case of borrowing any car locally.

I am guessing it will depend on what cars they have in the studio that day. It will be more than likely done in a car they do a review on. During the morning the Stig will do 'his' time in it and then probably take someone out in it.
