Whats this button please.. on the right, i looked in the manual but i cant find it, i think its diagnostics...

wel, i got that on the left hand heater nob on the center console. when i press the button in the pic it lights up..

 

i was hoping it'd be like super rocket NOS or something, but i realised this is real life

I'm sure the one on the heater knob is for the REAR windscreen heater and wing mirrors

oh, i didnt know i had heated wing mirrors, i thought if you pressed the nob in, it did the back windscreen, but if you turned it all the way to the right it did the front ?

 

correct me if i'm wrong please

Just take your bird in the car with you, do something to steam up the windows and try it out...

All uk cars have heated wing mirrors, JDM's may do too according to the spec.

 

Turning the knob will direct the air to the front windscreen. Pushing the button will turn on the heating elements attached to the front windscreen similar to what you have on the rear.

 

Only JDM's have heated front windscreens

I'm pretty sure that's just purely for the wing mirrors, for the newer models (especially the JDM's 05 onwards). The rear screen heat you push the far left aircon button in the middle (just in front of the gear lever).

I have the same button - it's for the heated windscreen - check out the elements near the bottom of the screen.
