stanski Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Glad it worked - never thought it would need five litres though! Stews a Costco boyo - bulk buying is best eh Stew!! What are you going to do with the other 1.8 ltres of vinegar now? Spray slugs with it in the garden? Wonder if you can mix it chippy oil and make your own petrol? Quote
Stew Posted August 13, 2008 Author Posted August 13, 2008 Well to be honest it maybe didn't need it all. I just lopped it all in over three washes then did another big cycle with a few more tablets than usual! Bulks the way to go with a lot of stuff! Cookie dough, bottles of Irn Bru and Peroni! Quote
nixy Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 we don't have a costco here - shame, Peroni's my favourite lager, saw it on tap in a bar for the first time last week. Quote
Stew Posted August 14, 2008 Author Posted August 14, 2008 It's nice on tap. I know a good bar in Manchester that sells perfectly chilled peroni! I believe the boddingtons and and Jack daniels was good too..... Wasn't it Stan and Drewbie! Quote
H5 Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 Peroni on tap is getting more widespread down here. As strong as Stella and actually tastes nice! Quote
Stew Posted August 15, 2008 Author Posted August 15, 2008 JD and coke yes, Boddies - YUK! I never touch Boddingtons. In fact I've never tasted it! Quote

martinmac Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 Liz went for a holiday on Islay with a crowd of friends, said she could find me anything to bring back http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruichladdich Quote
Stew Posted August 15, 2008 Author Posted August 15, 2008 Islay have some fine malts. My Dad has a fair collection. He gets a lot of good bottles as his company make all the control systems for more than half the distilleries in Scotland. I've been to most of them! Summer days out when I was a kid! So if you are planning any tours when you are up give me a shout and I'll see if you can get a real tour! Quote
