if its recent and you can scrape it clean then fine but if it looks like its been there a while you will need to tackle it sooner rather than later as it will get under the good paint and you end up with a larger problem!

 

You can use things like Jenolite - which converts rust from Iron2 to Iron 3 organic compound I remember from soemwhere?? :wacko: Or use Metal Ready rust remover - which is a phosphor based liquid - you just dab a bit and it eats the rust off - then wash off with water - dry with tissue and off you go - worked for me for years,

+1 for Jenolite, always used this in stonechips and never had to re-do the chip whereas with Kurust its not completely killed the rust.

 

+2 - brings back memories of the good old rust bucket days when I had cars that had more rust than sound metal :lol:
