tmJak Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Renault hopes the car will tempt buyers away from the Peugeot 407 Coupé. So would a Cinquecento Quote
lomoto Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Just doesnt look nice from any angle , the front looks a bit stunted ? Quote
dcash5 Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 I always thought the 350z engine was a renualt lump lifted from the valsatis (spelling) Quote
Digsy Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 I always thought the 350z engine was a renualt lump lifted from the valsatis (spelling) Don't start that one again! Its a common myth - its actually a Nissan engine used by Renault. Quote
dcash5 Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 :scare: Sorry sorry sorry, please dont flame me it honestly wasnt in the forum rules i promise Quote
H5 Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 :scare: Sorry sorry sorry, please dont flame me it honestly wasnt in the forum rules i promise You're fine! Fugly. Quote
Chris`I Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Agree with you guys, thats fugly. And only 240BHP?! You need at least 300BHP these days in a coupe Looks like a crap attempt to mix a G37 and an Aston (rear profile looks similar to current Astons) Quote
rmmackfc Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Why bother putting a V6 in it and not even using the full power Quote
H5 Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 But then I guess we should be pleased it isn't fully opened up otherwise it would go head on with the Zed. Quote
M13KYF Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Agree with you guys, thats fugly. And only 240BHP?! You need at least 300BHP these days in a coupe perhaps thats more of a condition installed by Nissan which I have to say I'm glad about Quote
Digsy Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Wouldn't fancy 300 bhp through the front wheels anyway. Quote
rmmackfc Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 Wouldn't fancy 300 bhp through the front wheels anyway. Fair point, forgot it was FWD Quote
neo Posted May 29, 2008 Author Posted May 29, 2008 ah thats maybe the reason, 240bhp seems about the the limit for FWD cars Quote
Zummertor Posted May 29, 2008 Posted May 29, 2008 I bet at least one 350z will have this revving beside it at the lights by the end of the year. Not even a pretty car but it will hit the corporate car lists as it as at least 2+2 so those that run a ban on 2 seater cars will still be able to get it. Quote
bronzee Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 ah thats maybe the reason, 240bhp seems about the the limit for FWD cars One of my mates Nissan street car was running in excess of 290fwkw's (nearing 400bhp at wheels), when he takes it down the strip, goes straight as a dye too, thrashes all the zeds easily, doesn't have so many traction problems. Lol, it's a tiny bit modified. So it possible with a tiny bit of work. But I still wouldn't buy the Renault. Quote

Down a strip might be fine, engine weight over the wheels etc., but round the twisty stuff and trying to lay the power down and steering it must torque steer all over the place..... Quote
Sarnie Posted May 30, 2008 Posted May 30, 2008 1) The dullest colour ever. Since when does grey entice masses of people to buy a car? 2) FWD 3) 240 bhp 4) rear lights like a ford focus Quote

I wouldn't disagree there. The only thing I'd say is that particular car goes surprising well, irrespective, but it's still FWD. Long live RWD (or real wheel drive as I call it). Quote
