Front and rear washers

Hi guys,

 

i know there are quite a few threads on this but none seem to cover my issue. Both my front and rear washers have suddenly stopped working at the exact same time? I have checked the fuses in the battery compartment and all seems fine. What are the chances you of both pumps packing up at exactly the same time?? Somehow I feel I’m missing something hear.

Mine both died simultaneously. Thought it was weird too, especially when I have a rear washer delete so never use that one.

 

You can always check by disconnecting the pump and feeding it some voltage directly.

So annoying. Thought it must be the fuse being both of them. Will feed some power to them and see if that’s the problem when I can get under there to get to them.

Yes, both mine packed in at the same time as well. There is a thread on that too. Must be common(ish) fairly straight forward to replace.

The are there 2 washer pumps I believe, both on the washer fluid bottle (gotta go in through the offside front wheel arch) that supplies the rear and the front washers seperatley. they do fail, but are cheap on eBay.   If both have gone at the same time might be a fuse?

I got a new washer pump for £8ish from euro car parts when mines failed a while back.

Both pumps are different, mainly just the connector. Make sure you buy one each.
