Is this Exhaust Standard on the 2017 Nismo?

Hey all,

 

Is this the standard exhaust for our cars? Has it changed after 2017. If not, what exhaust is this exactly? Im pretty confused right now.

 

 

I thought the stock exhaust / backbox looked like this?

Definitely not standard or an invidia Gemini, though looks similar to one.

Hi guys, looks like this is a Stillen exhaust system!

Well that was not expected, did not even know it was on the car!. Not too sure what to do here, feel like I have 2 options

 

1. Trade the Stillen CBE for the stock Nismo exhaust and put on the short tails

2. Have a custom rear pipe fabricated for the stillen so I can hook the short tails in to the stillen exhaust

 

Which do you think will sound better guys?

What's the reason to change?

I had a Stillen on my Nismo.  It's a great system so why change it?  If you want more volume just add HFCs.  I added Cobra HFCs and it sounded awesome.

Not happy with the sound, it is too quiet. I want to be REALLY loud.

 

Also I already bought the short tails.

Fair enough. Does get quite a lot louder with HFCs though.

Looking at prices of custom mid pipes it is probably going to be better off for me to trade this stillen system for the stock nismo exhaust, might post up in the classifieds on here

Then get short tails? Short tails are perfect for the car, but you do lose backpressure which helps with torque. Did you buy the short tails already?

Hey mate, I actually have a set of short tails already that I bought recently, they just don't line up with the flanges on the stillen. Looking for a stock system atm
