350Butcher Posted April 13, 2017 Posted April 13, 2017 If you wanted to split, I'd take the pipe without cat? My cat is in perfect condition being used 1 day a year but the pipe is looking sad
HaydnH Posted April 14, 2017 Author Posted April 14, 2017 If there's someone who wants the cat I'd happily split, but i don't want to be left with a cat on its own. Having said that, cats usually get good money from scrappies, i could find out how much I'd get from them and reduce the cost that way? Seems like a waste of a good cat though.
350Butcher Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 Totally understand that, if you get a taker for the cat or want to split let me know.
Rob350 Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 He does this work?? Do you need to Decat the original cats then just connect this y pipe and hfc to the decats??? then get a y pipe back exhaust ?? I'm confused lol
zippypooz Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 The HFC bypasses the the cats as it fits over the Y pipe...i removed my cats and fitted motordyne art pipes in their place.
Rob350 Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 So if i wanted to buy and fit this, id need some decats aswell to replace my stock cats? Or I'd have 3 cats lol 1
Jay.1r Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 I would have this off you buddy if it didn't have the hfc section but a straight through section, any ideas on where I could get one?
zippypooz Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 So if i wanted to buy and fit this, id need some decats aswell to replace my stock cats? Or I'd have 3 cats lol You CAN buy other fitments with this y pipe...so you could leave your cats on and choose another fitment option...https://www.z1motorsports.com/exhaust/motordyne/motordyne-xyz-pipe-exhaust-pipe-section-p-7306.html

Jay.1r Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Thanks, dropped him a message, I love the sound of a straight pipe, don't really want to go back to a hfc! 1

Jay.1r Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Hmm £350 for the y pipe and £160, think it will be a better buy for someone looking for a hi flow cat already, didn't realise the attachments would be that much, is this really that much better than a skilled y pipe? At £275 new

zippypooz Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 The one being sold here is great, same set up as i have, still sounds great with the HFC attachment.
Jay.1r Posted May 4, 2017 Posted May 4, 2017 Still get some pops and bangs? Would be paired with art pipes, and a titanium system
zippypooz Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 You do get some yup, its louder but not over the top, sounds great mid range.
