noise from clutch when turning engine off

OK I just parked the car in the garage and when I turned the engine off there was a rattle coming from (I think) the clutch ! If I turn the engine off with the clutch depressed, No noise. All works fine the rest of the time. The clutch doesn`t slip or make any other noises. Is this just normal or is the release bearing on the way out ? Any ideas ? The clutch is as far as I know standard and the car only has 58,000 on the clock.

As far as ive seen all Zs have some kind of rattle from the clutch when switching off, and from what ive read its to do with the duel mass clutch. Mine rattles so I just depress the clutch everytime

Probably just the "normal" transmission noises reverberating off your garage walls.

 

However may be the DMF (Dual Mass Fly) on its way out.

My car does exactly the same with only 12'000 miles on the clock. It rattles like crazy when turning off. I press clutch down too when switching off

Thank for the replies, that's nice to know. I had never noticed it until I switched it of in the garage whilst standing next to it !
